The IMED Elche 24 HR A & E departmenthas its own independent entrance and waiting area on the ground floor. There is a separate paediatrics waiting area.
The unit consists of 7 boxes (one exclusively for Paediatric use), 3 waiting rooms and an ample observation room with 4 beds. Each box is equipped with medicinal gases, monitors and radiotransparent stretchers, so as to avoid any unnecessary movements in traumatology cases.
Doctors are physically present on a 24 hour basis and are supported by on-call specialists and surgeons of all specialties. Access to a patients’ medical history via the Imedassistpoint system permits real time access to all previous relevant medical information in order to avoid unnecessary repetition of tests so as to ensure a speedier and more efficient diagnosis.
